Tomorrow, October 1 my mini me will be turning 12. She is creative, stubborn, lovable, helpful, smart and the best sister to her siblings. I remember bring her home from the hospital. Where has the time gone. She is my mini me she looks like me and acts like me. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU SWEETHEART. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I'm alive, barely.

It all started with my little guy John. It went through our family like a tornado rips apart a house. We were all tested for the h1n1 flu and all came back negative except the last one. My question was how can 4 people with the exact same symptoms be tested and only one come backs positive. Well there has been a lot of false negatives is what my doctor says. Two of my kids got tested on the same day one was positive one was negative for the flu. If i would of had the correct diagnose I could of gotten the Tamiflu meds. I just had to vent we have been sick with this crap for over 10 days now.

My Brother

We have been through hell and back together. He is 7 years younger than me. We talk every day on the phone. Growing up it was the survival of the fittest and we had each others back. We could of been poster children for Dysfunctional families. I am so proud of him. After 9-11 he joined the navy to fight for our country. I worry about him all the time now that he is in the war zone. His daughter is his world. I know our parents are watching over him from above. Come home safe brother. We miss you!

Can I please go back toTybee Island

We go here at least once a year. My husband and I were married on the beach. If we could live anywhere this would be it. They have the best cajun shrimp I have every tasted at this little beach side restaurant. This year we met Mylie Cyrus and my 11 year old was over the moon. How do I wish I was there right now. No worries, just us and the sun and the sand. Untill we meet again next year.

water, water everywhere.

This is my backyard. We use to have a 20 foot drop and beach down there. Now it is water. If it keeps up it will be in my basement. Please keep the families who have lost everything in your prayers.

Life and Death

One of the blogs I read have open up some old wounds of mine. The death of a parent. I lost my mom almost two years ago to leukemia. It was one of the hardest things I have ever been through. She was diagnosed in Nov 2006 and died Nov 2007. I never saw someone suffer so much in my life. I never thought I would pray for my momma to die, but I did the days before she left. Hearing the updates about this woman's mom made me go back in time to when my mom was in hospice. I dreamed about it, I never done that before. It kinda hit me in the gut. I don't think I got to grieve. The first few months after she was gone I was thankful she was gone, because she was not suffering. After that my oldest daughter got very ill so my attention shifted to that. Now the food gates have been open

The back to school flu.

Why does this happen every year. Nice and healthy all summer and then the kiddies go back to school and they get sick. It never fails, it hits us hard. If one gets sick we all get sick. Four out of the five kids have been sick and now I am too. Save me...
