Is January over yet?

If this month is a sign of how the rest of the year is gonna be, I quit!

This month has been a very hard month in this house. There always seems to be someone sick. The boys have been sick for over a week now.
I have a kidney infection from hell.
Anna almost broke her foot in the sledding incident of 2010.
And the most upsetting thing is that Amanda's illness is coming back. I never really talked about her illness on here. In February 2008 my healthy 16 year old daughter turned into a very sickly dependent on me for her care girl. She has something called Sydenham's chorea. Yesterday some of her symptoms have came back. Tomorrow we start the rounds with the doctors. Please keep us in your thoughts as we deal with this once again.

Nic

Sydenham's chorea is a neurologic movement disorder characterized by irregular, abrupt, relatively rapid involuntary movements (i.e., chorea) of muscles of the face, neck, trunk, and arms and legs (limbs). Additional findings often include diminished muscle tone (hypotonia), muscle weakness, and emotional and behavioral disturbances, particularly obsessive-compulsive behaviors. Sydenham's chorea most frequently occurs in children or adolescents between the ages of 5 to 15 following acute rheumatic fever (ARF). ARF is an inflammatory disease that develops subsequent to throat infection with certain strains of streptococcal bacteria (i.e., group A beta-hemolytic streptococci).

In patients with Sydenham's chorea, choreic movements usually begin gradually, progressively worsening over a few weeks to a month. Associated findings may be extremely variable, ranging from relatively mild incoordination to severe disruption in conducting voluntary movements of multiple muscle groups, potentially affecting speech, arm movements, walking, and the ability to perform certain activities of daily living. In some patients, Sydenham's chorea may a self-limited condition, usually spontaneously resolving within about nine months (average duration) to two years (about 50% of patients); therefore, treatment with certain medications may be restricted to patients with significantly impaired function resulting from severe chorea.

Merry Christmas

I wanted to show everyone my Christmas decorations. I'm gonna keep it real with these picture.

The first one is of my mantle I usually have it all decorated with snowmen but that didn't happen. We lost a lot of stuff in our old basement because of a mold problem and i am scared to look at what snowman had to be thrown out. I do have my kiddies stockings out. I also have my secret santa gift out that i received that I love. Thank you AP I really love it.

The second picture is my tree, notice in the middle there is no light. Well my sweet puppy decided for the second time to eat the wires and this time we couldn't fix it. Also I had ribbon going down the tree well my 3 year old pulled it off 927 times so I gave up and took most of it off. The ornaments are all put on crazy because i have a puppy and a 3 year old who does not know the concept of don't touch.

Tomorrow I will show you my outside decorations. Sweet dreams.

Puppy Love

We got a new puppy on Tuesday. It all started because I decided that my furry son Kahuna was lonely. Her name is Rosie and is 10 weeks old. So back to potty training I go.

My laptop has decided to take its last breath yesterday. After 4 hours on the phone with tech support it is still under warranty they are going to fix it. That means I will be without a computer for at least 3 weeks. I will not be on much but I hope to be able to get on with my husband computer.
